Why we love winter specials
Our winter specials are part of our tourism awareness campaign. People have a preconception that there is a season for every quarter of the year. At Toro Ya Me we feel otherwise about this notion and we are about to change that.
You see, in countries such as far northern USA and Canada this does not apply. They have 4 very distinct seasons and each of those offer seasons give way to a very unique set of rules with regards to what can be done given the weather conditions. A simple example, you simply cannot go ice-fishing in the middle of summer.
But in the more northern parts of our country this does not apply. In fact winter in Hartbeespoort Dam often offers excellent conditions to partake in a variety of fun outdoor activities. What makes it even better is that you get more “elbowroom” and personal attention during this time of year when the pressure is off.
Capitalising on seasonal rates goes beyond just cheaper rates for a cruise on Toro Ya Me. Other activity providers and accommodation venues will also be skimming the “edge “off summer rates. This is truly a great time of year for choosing Hartbeespoort Dam as your winter holiday destination. With what you will save overall you can either do more when visiting our region or put those savings in the piggybank for Christmas which as usual, always seems to be lurking just around the next corner.

THE MMAKAU HERITAGE SITE
From the official website. "The biggest concentrations of archaeological sites occur on the northern foot of the Swartkoppies Mountain.
